Signing in

How staff sign in on the web and in the field app, how citizens sign in, and what to do when it does not work.

Staff: the web

Your Block office creates your account with your mobile number. Nobody can sign up as staff on their own.

Open your Block's address followed by /staff, for example https://swm.yourblock.in/staff. Choose your language at the top.

Enter your mobile number (10 digits, without +91) and your password, then press Sign in.

Your password

Until WhatsApp codes are switched on for your Block, your Block office gives you a password when they add you, and sets a new one if you forget it. Once codes are on, you set and change it yourself as below.

Setting or changing your password

The first time you sign in, or when you have forgotten your password, press First time here? Set your password or Forgot password? on the sign-in page.

Enter your mobile number and press Send code.
SWM sends a 6-digit code on WhatsApp. Type it and press Verify. The code works for 15 minutes.
Choose a new password of at least 10 characters and press Save password. You are signed in.

Staff: the field app

Open SWM on the phone and choose your language.
Enter your mobile number and password, then press Sign in. Signing in needs the internet once.
If the phone has no screen lock, the app asks you to set an app PIN of 4 to 6 digits.

After 15 minutes away, or when you open the app again, it asks for the PIN (or the phone's screen lock). After too many wrong PINs you sign in again with your password; records saved on the phone are kept.

Citizens

Citizens do not need a password. On the citizen portal, press Sign in, enter the mobile number used on WhatsApp, and type the code SWM sends. See Citizens.
