Report waste problems near you, register your home or shop for collection, and follow what happens.

Your Gram Panchayat (GP) collects waste with self-help groups (SHGs). On your Block's SWM website you can:

  • report a problem, such as garbage not collected or waste being burnt, and get a complaint number;
  • register your home or shop, so your GP knows to collect from you;
  • follow each complaint and registration until it is done.

Open your Block's address on your phone, for example https://swm.yourblock.in.

On a computer the same page looks like this:

You sign in with your mobile number and a code sent on WhatsApp; there is no password. Until your Block's WhatsApp number is set up, report problems at your GP office: they enter them in SWM and give you the complaint number.

Signing in

Press Sign in at the top and enter the mobile number you use on WhatsApp (10 digits).
Press Send code. A code comes on WhatsApp within a minute.
Type the code and press Continue. If no code comes, press Send again or Send by SMS instead.

Help and privacy

Your mobile number is used only for your complaints and registrations and to send you updates. GP and Block staff who handle them can see them; they are not shared with anyone else. The portal's Help and privacy page says more.
