Off-takes

What happens to the PWM unit's processed waste: outputs sent or sold to partners, rejects discarded.

When processed waste leaves the PWM unit, the PWM manager records an off-take to a partner: a recycler, aggregator, cement plant, MRF, landfill or other outside place the Block Admin has added.

For each line:

  • an output (shredded plastic, bales…) sent or sold; for a sale, the amount received if known;
  • or the unit's rejects, discarded.

There is no acknowledgement from the partner: SWM records what the manager says happened, with an optional invoice photo. Totals by partner and output, and sale amounts, are in the Block's reports (Block Admin and BDO only).

Together with processing, this closes the PWM unit's balance: processed = outputs + rejects + loss, and outputs and rejects leave only through off-takes (or stay in stock).
