SWM Facility Manager
Record what arrives at your SWM unit, how it is sorted, and where it goes, in the field app.
You manage one SWM unit. In the field app you record, as it happens:
- intake: waste that arrives from the GPs;
- segregation: mixed waste sorted into categories;
- consignments: plastic and dry waste sent to the PWM unit;
- onward movements: other waste sent to a compost pit, landfill or vendor.
The app works without a network: records are saved on the phone and sent when it connects. See Working offline.
The home screen
- Stock now: what your unit holds, by category. A category below zero needs attention: an entry is missing or late.
- On the way to the PWM unit: your consignments not yet received.
- Flags: an officer asked about one of your records. Respond.
- The Record tab opens everything you record:
Your day
- As loads arrive, record each intake, from which GP.
- After sorting, record the segregation.
- When a truck leaves for the PWM unit, record the consignment and write its number on the truck slip.
- Record onward movements of bio-waste and other waste.
