Waste, destinations and off-take partners

Choose the Block's waste categories and outputs, and add the outside places waste goes, including off-take partners.

Configuration → Waste.

Waste categories, recovered outputs, and destinations including off-take partners.

Waste categories and outputs

Categories are the same in every Block, so totals never overlap. For each one choose whether this Block uses it (In use), whether it may go to the PWM unit (Goes to PWM), and optionally the name used locally. Recovered outputs are what the PWM unit produces (shredded plastic, bales…); choose those in use.

Destinations

Outside places waste goes:

  • Onward destinations (from SWM units): compost pits, landfill, vendors. The SWM manager records onward movements to them.
  • Off-take partners (from PWM units): the recyclers, aggregators, cement plants or MRFs that processed waste is sent or sold to, and where rejects are discarded. The PWM manager records off-takes to them.

Add an off-take partner

Under Off-take partners (from PWM units), press Add destination.
Enter the name, and choose the type: Recycler, Aggregator / scrap dealer, Cement plant (co-processing), MRF, Landfill / disposal, Compost or Other.
Optionally a contact (person or phone) and a GST or registration number. Press Save.
The form for adding an off-take partner: name, type, contact and GST number.

A PWM unit cannot record an off-take until at least one partner exists. The field app then says

No off-take partner is set up. Ask your Block Admin to add one under Configuration → Destinations.
